I had a high expectation when I first read the book. I hoped for a mind-blowing book, but the book was just an okay read to me. Nothing special. Rafe MacKade was very confident and, yes, an absolute alpha male. As for Regan, she was helpful and very likeable. However, nothing wowed me. Probably, I was not very familiar with Nora Robert's writing style since this is the first book I read written by her. I found the story confusing and boring at times. I like book that focused on one or two main characters' POV, which is something that this book is not.
