Ann is not happy with how she looks. With help from her mother and S2S (a weight loss program), she determines to lose at least 45 pounds.
It was a nice little book. Unfortunately, I didn't find anything so special about it. Ann was one conflicting character that I couldn't put my finger on. I understand that trying to stick on a diet sucks, but Ann was still miserable either way. She kept complaining that she was too fat and then when she was on a diet, she wasn't happy about it.
One thing I really liked about this book is when Ann tried to set a better example for her half-sister Libby that being healthy was more important.
The ending was nice too when everything turned out alright for everyone. Tony finally visited them, the mother admitted how wrong she was, and the relationship between Ann and her step father was stronger.
Anyway, I didn't think the book was funny.
